UNDERSTANDS WHAT YOUR CHILD OPENS
Every app and website your child uses is sorted into clear categories such as Study, Games, Social, Video and Adult, so you set rules for a whole category at once instead of chasing individual names.
Type a rule the way you would say it, for example "no games on school nights until homework is done". Vinaya drafts the matching settings for you to review. Nothing is applied until you confirm it.
A short, plain-language summary of the week: where time went, what changed, and which chapters moved forward. No spreadsheets to decode.

No. Vinaya manages time, apps and websites, and reports usage. It does not read messages, record the screen or use the microphone, and it shows no advertising.
It sorts apps and websites into categories, turns rules you write in plain words into settings for you to review, writes weekly summaries, and adapts study practice. It never changes your child's device rules without your confirmation.
Not without you. On Android, Vinaya runs as the device owner; on Windows, uninstalling needs your PIN. Attempts to tamper are reported to you.

Yes. The Agent uses no Google services, so it works with or without Google Play. Some brands need autostart enabled for Vinaya, which the setup guide shows.
Android only allows device-owner mode on a phone with no accounts signed in. This is what makes Vinaya hard to bypass. You can sign back in to your accounts afterwards where your phone allows it.
Yes, though most families find Vinaya covers what they need, along with the PC and study features Family Link does not offer.
